You can see my ghx definition screenshot and short explanation about origami surface on this site. The logic is very similar with other examples like 'truss' or 'bezier connection' in terms of organization of points( grouping points, selecting each group, connecting with lines or curves, or surfaces..) So starting to follow easy one would be better (origami one is not easy one). I know my explanations might not be enough to help you but I'll prepare some tutorials in near future. Thanks.

Thanks for your answer. I know that Origami surface is not simple to understand, I have been making some paper models to understand the geometry. The fact is that I am not able to apply that logic to grasshopper because I have just started using it and I still don't fully understand grasshopper logic!!!
Do you know of any tutorials that can help me to understand how to transfer that geometry into grasshopper?

Thank you very much

Thanks for your interest. Origami surface is not a simple, I recommend you to understand it physical first. There are some different types of origami surface depending on 'folding patterns' or 'base geometry(single curved surface or double curved surface...) You could test all of them but I encourage you to start with one. You can find a bunch of examples about origami foldings on web (not with digital tools..), just try to build by hand or lazer-cut if you can.
And then you can apply that logic to grasshopper. Building a geometry in grasshopper should be based on understanding the geometry perfectly, I think. So you can organize points as different groups and connect them with lines. That's what I did in grasshopper. good luck!

Hi,
your project is very interesting! I am trying to design an origami pavilion using Grasshopper but I am new to this software and I don't know where to start from.
If you could explain me how to start I would be very grateful.
I am using a diagonal pattern and I need to understand the behind logic.

Thanks
